  1. 1

    Open the Compose tab

Click Compose in the left sidebar to open the AI Generation panel and live LinkedIn preview.

Click Compose → editor layout appears
  2. 2

    Choose your tone and length

Pick the tone that fits the post: Match My Style writes in your voice based on past posts; Professional, Casual, Inspiring, Educational, and Thought-Provoking are preset styles for different situations. Then set your length: Short for punchy updates, Medium for most posts, Long for deep-dives.

Click through tone options → select one → change length
  3. 3

Describe what the post is about

In the 'What should the post be about?' field, describe your topic. The more specific you are, the better the output — for example: 'Lessons from scaling a remote team to 50 people, include a personal story and actionable tips'. Use Additional instructions to add nuance, such as a specific company name or stat you want included. Click Generate Post.

Type prompt + optional instructions → click Generate Post → draft appears

Want a back-and-forth? Use Advanced mode

If a one-off prompt isn't enough, click Advanced at the top of the AI panel. This opens a conversational interface where you can refine, redirect, or push back on the draft — like messaging a copywriter.

Click Advanced → chat interface appears → type follow-up → post updates
  5. 5

    Edit the post directly

Click anywhere in the LinkedIn preview to edit the text inline. The toolbar lets you bold, italicise, add bullet points, change font style, or insert emojis.

Click in preview → edit text inline

    Add an image

Click the image icon in the preview toolbar to attach a photo. The image will appear in the LinkedIn preview exactly as it will look when published.

Click image icon → select file → image appears in preview
  7. 7

    Add hashtags

Click # Add My Hashtags below the preview to append your saved hashtags to the post.

Click Add My Hashtags → hashtags appear at bottom of post

    Publish, schedule, or save

When you're happy, choose what to do next: click Post Now to publish immediately, Schedule to pick a date and time for automatic publishing, or Save Draft to come back to it later.

Click Schedule → date picker → confirm
